This picture came about on a whim, really. It was a lovely night and my family and I decided it was the perfect night for a sunset stroll at Reflections Lake. The lake has a trail that is just over a mile. We headed off to walk three laps around the lake to complete a 5K hike. I grabbed my GoPro Hero 9 Black just in case I saw something worthy of taking pictures and capturing the hike with my wife and daughter. I am glad I did!
As the sun began to set, the clouds started getting color and the foliage began to take on a fall-like appearance. The golden rays of the sun bouncing off of the yellow and red brush made for an incredible scene. This was one of the first sunset photos I took in Alaska and I think it will always be one of my favorites! You can see more Alaskan sunsets in my gallery.
